Finance Leadership Development Program (NYC)

About the Role

The Finance Leadership Development Program at Skydance is a two-year program designed to develop ambitious Analysts into future Finance leaders. Starting summer 2027, participants will be full-time employees with three eight-month rotations across the Finance organization. The program includes on-the-job training, leadership development, and a capstone project pitched to company leadership. A dedicated mentor will support participants throughout the program. Strong performers will transition into a full-time, Senior Financial Analyst position.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Modeling & Forecasting:
• Craft and maintain complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and expense optimization.
• Translate KPIs and core business metrics into actionable analyses for leadership decisions.
• Capstone Innovation Project:
• Identify a business problem, develop a solution, and pitch it to company leadership.
• On-the-Job Training & Leadership Development:
• Engage in high-impact work guided by a manager and mentor.
• Receive comprehensive AI training for finance and enterprise-wide tools.
• Enhance leadership skills through feedback, executive shadowing, and dedicated training.
• Reporting & Close:
• Manage critical aspects of monthly and quarterly close, including accruals, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Analyze general ledger data to create clear, actionable reports.
• Execute the quarterly payment process end-to-end.
• Business Partnership:
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and business leaders to shape future business planning.
• Address ad hoc, high-visibility requests for senior leadership.
• Build a cross-functional network of professional relationships.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, macros).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Self-directed with a strong motivation for accelerated development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis.

Qualifications

• Proper work authorization for employment in the United States from July 2027 to July 2029.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related quantitative degrees.
• Experience in finance or accounting.
