Chemistry Lab Assistant

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Chemistry Lab Assistant role based in Delhi, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare chemical solutions.
• Organize equipment.
• Set up materials for experiments and practical classes.
• Assist educators and students during lab sessions.
• Ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the lab.
• Label and store chemicals properly.
• Manage basic inventory of lab supplies.
• Report equipment issues or safety concerns.
• Document experiments.
• Perform routine checks of lab instruments.
• Comply with institutional policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of chemistry principles and basic laboratory techniques.
• Skills in handling laboratory equipment, preparing chemical solutions, and performing routine lab maintenance.
• Awareness of laboratory safety protocols, chemical handling procedures, and emergency response practices.
• Attention to detail in labeling, record-keeping, and organizing lab materials and supplies.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant academic background such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in an educational or research laboratory setting is an advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately, manage time efficiently, and adapt to a structured academic environment is beneficial.
