Civil Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Coimbatore, supporting projects for Sabarai Construction Private Limited and Deejos Engineer and Construction Pvt Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations for structural and infrastructure works.
• Plan project activities.
• Coordinate with site teams and contractors.
• Monitor construction progress.
• Ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
• Perform site inspections.
• Resolve technical issues.
• Manage stormwater and drainage solutions.
• Participate in project meetings to support cost-effective and sustainable design decisions.
• Assist in documentation, reporting, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills, including ability to interpret drawings, perform basic structural and infrastructure design, and apply relevant codes and standards.
• Planning skills to manage project timelines, resources, and construction sequences, and to coordinate effectively with site teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management and drainage systems.
• Experience working as a Civil Engineer on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects, preferably with on-site supervision responsibilities.
• Proficiency with civil engineering and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, basic structural analysis software).
• Good MS Office skills for reporting and documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices, quality control procedures, and local building bylaws.
• Prior experience in Coimbatore or similar regions is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
