About the Role
The Resident Engineer will provide on-site technical leadership and supervision for infrastructure and civil engineering projects in New Delhi, ensuring that design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met. This full-time hybrid role involves regular presence at project sites and the office, with some work-from-home flexibility for documentation, coordination, and reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting construction activities.
- Reviewing drawings and technical documents.
- Monitoring project progress.
- Verifying compliance with contractual requirements and applicable codes.
- Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Addressing technical issues.
- Supporting timely resolution of site-related challenges.
- Preparing progress reports.
- Maintaining project records.
- Assisting in quality assurance and control.
- Supporting risk mitigation, schedule adherence, and cost management.
Qualifications
- Strong background in civil or structural engineering, with experience in construction supervision and site management for infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, including experience with multidisciplinary designs.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices applicable to civil and infrastructure works.
- Proficiency in basic engineering and office software (e.g., AutoCAD or similar tools, MS Office) for reporting, documentation, and coordination.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with clients, contractors, and project teams, and for preparing clear technical reports.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities to address site issues and support practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional registration or eligibility for local engineering membership is an advantage.
- Experience with large-scale or international projects and familiarity with global best practices in consulting engineering is highly beneficial.
