About the Role
This full-time position involves supporting high-volume prescription fulfillment at Cleveland Clinic’s Home Delivery Pharmacy in Beachwood. The role operates in an assembly-line environment with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure timely medication delivery to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill prescriptions.
- Receive and scan medication orders.
- Restock inventory and supplies.
- Package shipments and prepare medications for delivery.
- Use a pallet jack to move supplies.
- Work with Pyxis machines to support pharmacy operations.
- Provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the pharmacist in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.
- Maintain inventory for the outpatient pharmacy.
- Assist with extemporaneous compounding of prescriptions and bulk compounding of prescriptions and over-the-counter items.
- Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
- Monitor and act on reorder points.
- Restock prescription and non-prescription areas.
- Remove expiring products.
- Provide multi-pharmacy support in assigned areas as needed.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- High School Diploma/GED
- Upon hire, must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
- Upon hire, must hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
- Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months.
Qualifications
- Six months of hospital experience.
- Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform job duties while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged periods.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
Personal Protective Equipment
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Sign-on bonus of $2,500 is eligible for this role.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $21.50
Pay Range Maximum hourly: $31.00
