About the Role
This is a full-time, non-paid Web Developer Intern (PHP) role based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining web applications using PHP and related technologies.
- Work closely with senior developers to implement features and fix bugs.
- Write clean and efficient code.
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development.
- Test and debug web pages.
- Ensure compatibility across browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with designers and other team members to translate requirements into functional web interfaces.
- Document code.
- Learn best practices in modern web development.
- Gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real client projects.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational skills in Web Development and Programming, with a focus on PHP.
- Basic understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Skills in Back-End Web Development, including server-side scripting and handling APIs.
- Familiarity with MVC frameworks (exposure to Laravel or similar is beneficial).
- Skills in Front-End Development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to build responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Web Design fundamentals, such as layout and usability.
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with version control (Git) is beneficial.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work in a hybrid team environment.
- Pursuing or having completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with strong portfolios or projects are also encouraged to apply.
