About the Role

Under general supervision, responsible for the operation of a specialized educational/social science research area within a recognized unit. Assists with research project tasks to include recruitment, data collection, and the day-to-day operations of research projects. This is a grant funded position. Your employment may be terminated by you or UT Health San Antonio at any time regardless of the anticipated end date of the grant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting research projects according to the research plan/project.
• Performs duties in support of research projects such as scheduling research subjects, obtaining research data, organizing data, researching records, and entering data in a research database.
• Assists in conducting literature reviews and maintains information.
• Assists in the maintenance of information and literature, and keeps current on literature and developments in the areas of research.
• Prepares materials for publication.
• Trains and guides other lower-level research support personnel in techniques; explains and demonstrates instrument capabilities, operations, limitations, and outcomes.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.
