Associate Backend Developer, Java

About the Role

Saatvik Agro is seeking an Associate Backend Developer - Java for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India. This role is designed for fresh graduates and early-career professionals interested in Java backend development, software engineering, REST APIs, databases, microservices, cloud technologies, enterprise applications, system integration, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Java-based backend applications, services, APIs, databases, internal platforms, enterprise systems, automation solutions, and digital tools.
• Collaborate with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.
• Work with technologies such as Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, microservices, cloud platforms, messaging systems, testing frameworks, Git, CI/CD, and other modern Java backend technologies, as per project and business requirements.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, collections, exception handling, interfaces, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, multithreading, concurrency, and clean coding practices.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar relational and NoSQL databases is beneficial.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, joins, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, queries, and data-access concepts is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, code reviews, and collaborative software-development workflows.
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
• Strong willingness to learn new Java technologies, backend frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, testing tools, and modern software-engineering practices.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Final-year students completing their degree and available for full-time employment may also apply.
• Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in Java backend development, backend software development, software engineering, application development, API development, enterprise software, or related technology roles can apply.
• Candidates currently working as an Associate Backend Developer - Java or similar roles are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates from various industries including IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG are welcome.

Beneficial Skills & Exposure (Not Mandatory)

• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar Java backend frameworks.
• Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, scalable backend services, or event-driven systems.
• Exposure to JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Postman, unit testing, integration testing, API testing, or automated testing.
• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, scheduled jobs, background processing, or event-driven architecture.
• Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, or similar cloud and DevOps technologies.
• Basic understanding of Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, and production-support concepts.
• Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, role-based access control, secure coding, input validation, API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption concepts.
• Exposure to application performance optimization, database tuning, connection pooling, caching strategies, scalability, reliability, observability, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ORM technologies, repositories, persistence layers, entity relationships, transactions, and backend data-access patterns.
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Exposure to automation, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, user stories, sprint planning, or issue tracking.

• Candidates without previous full-time Java backend-development experience can also apply.
