Electrophysiology Cardiologist

About the Role

This is a premier opportunity for a highly skilled Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician to join an established team at Ascension Medical Group Via Christi in Wichita, KS. This role offers the chance to lead specialized EP procedures, benefit from a strong referral base driven by growing patient volume, and utilize advanced mapping and imaging technology within a robust, mission-centered health system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a full spectrum of EP procedures.
• Collaborate with a highly experienced heart care team to advance the integrated cardiac service line.
• Practice setting includes outpatient and inpatient settings centered at Murdock and Heritage Plaza, serving an adult patient population.

Team & Facility

• Join a dedicated cardiology team comprising 10 physicians (2 EP, 6 Interventionalists, 2 Medical Cardiologists) and 13 Advanced Practice Providers.
• Favorable 1:2 EP-only call schedule, transitioning to 1:3.
• Ascension Via Christi St. Francis is a 429-bed teaching hospital with a primary cath lab serving all three hospital locations.
• The facility is the region's only Level I Trauma and Burn Center.
• State-of-the-art equipment and resources include GE X-ray, 2 Carto Mapping systems, and 1 ESI Mapping system.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Must be eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration.
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (Open to all experience levels).
