Overview
- Full-time role in Montgomery, TX.
- Learn and train to develop software for Garmin's communication and navigation products in a team-oriented environment under supervision.
Essential Functions
- Learn to develop software in C#/.net/typescript and/or React or other selected languages for Garmin communication and navigation products, following Garmin’s software development methodology with guidance.
- Learn to test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and logic analyzers.
- Learn to perform software releases and software quality assurance activities.
- Learn to perform maintenance activities for products already in production, in addition to new product software design.
- Integrate, use, and provide feedback on products in development, when possible, as part of normal job responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Excellent academics (cumulative GPA ≥ 3.0 as a general rule).
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must possess relevant experience and/or training in languages such as C#/.net/typescript and/or React.
- Must possess relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object-oriented design methodology relevant to Garmin’s business needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience and/or training in a backend environment.
- Relevant experience in Restful API's or Postman.
- Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA ≥ 3.5).
- Previous experience working in a team environment.
