Project Engineer (Howard S. Wright)

About the Role

Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, is seeking a Project Engineer in Seattle, WA. This is an entry-level position that assists the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of the construction project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with project financial responsibilities.
• Assist with preconstruction services.
• Assist with project start-up and scheduling.
• Assist with project administration, coordination, and close-out.
• Promote client and subcontractor relations.
• Maintain aspects of the project schedule by managing submittal approvals.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality and profitability, while complying with the Safety culture of Zero Harm.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency using a personal computer and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Construction Management degrees preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Internship, or equivalent experience, with a commercial general contractor.
• One to three years of previous work experience (Preferred Experience).
• Familiarity with RFIs, change orders, submittals, and punch-lists (Preferred Experience).
• Preparing sub-contractor meeting minutes (Preferred Experience).
