What You’ll Be Doing

You and your team will be working on a real project in real time: it’ll be impactful and timely work that the business depends on. In recent summers, interns in the Sales and Service Operations organization have:

• Driven the adoption of predictive support capabilities and AI technologies to proactively resolve customer friction across all channels.
• Lead technology research, benchmarked industry best practices, and evaluated emerging tools to modernize our omnichannel ecosystem.
• Evaluated sales and service channel performance, operational workflows, and technology integrations across physical and digital touchpoints.

This is a hybrid internship, based out of Basking Ridge, NJ, with a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager. Relocation assistance may be available if required. You’ll also join us for the Intern Marquee event in Basking Ridge, NJ, a unique, in-person experience designed exclusively for all US interns.

Qualifications

All Successful Applicants To This Role Will:

• Have attended Verizon’s Basking Ridge, New Jersey Thurgood Marshall College Program Immersion Program in October of 2026.
• Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with a graduation date between December 2027 - June 2028, and be in good academic standing.
• Have the ability to participate in a full-time, hybrid, 10-week (temporary) internship between June 2027 to August 2027.
• Have authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Be willing and able to travel.
• Be willing and able to relocate.
• Demonstrate agile, clear, and persuasive written and verbal communication.
• Have demonstrated work or project expertise in designing frictionless, end-to-end customer or user journeys powered by dynamic pricing, predictive value realization, or complex MarTech stacks.
• Have experience with AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, NotebookLM.

Even Better If You Have

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in one of the following majors: Business Administration, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related major.
• Ethical Judgment, Customer Empathy, and Operational Excellence.
• Experience with omnichannel strategy execution, go-to-market planning, or Universal Care operating models.
• Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional projects, applying systems thinking, data-backed reasoning, and process simplification to solve complex problems and streamline workflows across matrixed teams.
• A track record of rapid skill acquisition and entrepreneurial initiative, with proven ability to leverage technical/data literacy (including AI tools) to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver customer-centric outcomes.

Location & Schedule

• Base pay rate: $25.00/hour
• Hybrid role in Basking Ridge, NJ.
• Includes work from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, set by your manager.
• Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
