About the Role
Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company that is part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to support functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy. This role involves dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a lunch break from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm.
- Location: 1035 E Jefferson St. Suite P1 Phoenix, AZ 85034
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders and prepare them for verification by a Registered Pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and update computer records to maintain inventory.
- Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicate effectively using professional verbal and written skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Arizona.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
- Preferred: 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience.
