About the Role
This is a full-time remote Carpenter role focused on providing high-quality carpentry services while collaborating with clients and project teams through digital tools and virtual communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting project specifications.
- Preparing material lists.
- Planning work sequences for framing, structural installation, and finish work.
- Performing detailed carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials.
- Using hand and power tools safely to construct, repair, and modify structures, fixtures, and custom pieces.
- Documenting progress.
- Sharing measurements and drawings.
- Coordinating with remote supervisors or designers.
- Maintaining adherence to safety standards and building codes.
- Managing time effectively.
- Following project deadlines.
- Communicating clearly with stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- Reliable access to digital communication tools.
- Comfort using basic software for plans, photos, and updates.
- Safety standards and building codes adherence.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational Carpentry skills, including reading plans, measuring accurately, and constructing and repairing structures and fixtures.
- Proficiency with Hand Tools and Power Tools, with a focus on safe operation, proper maintenance, and efficient use on a variety of carpentry tasks.
- Experience in Framing for residential or commercial projects, including wall, floor, and roof systems.
- Skill in Finish Carpentry, such as trim work, cabinetry, doors, windows, and detailed custom features with a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety practices and quality control.
- Previous experience in carpentry or related construction trades.
- Vocational training or certification in carpentry is beneficial.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with diverse teams and clients in a professional, inclusive manner.
