Jewelry Designer

About the Role

Shankaram Jewellers is seeking creative and detail-oriented Manual Jewellery Designers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fine jewellery and traditional craftsmanship, with an interest or expertise in designing Diamond Jewellery, Open Polki Jewellery, and Jadau Jewellery. Both freshers with strong design skills and experienced professionals are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of CAD jewellery designing is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Create unique and elegant hand-drawn jewellery designs based on design briefs and customer requirements.
• Design a variety of jewellery, including diamond, open polki, and jadau pieces.
• Develop creative concepts for necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, bangles, and bridal jewellery sets.
• Prepare detailed sketches with accurate proportions, stone placements, settings, and design elements.
• Understand jewellery manufacturing techniques and coordinate with production teams to ensure designs are practical to manufacture.
• Incorporate current jewellery trends while maintaining the brand’s design aesthetic.
• Modify and refine designs based on feedback and client requirements.
• Maintain attention to detail in stone selection, symmetry, finishing, and overall design balance.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong skills in manual jewellery drawing and sketching.
• Knowledge of diamond, open polki, and jadau jewellery designing.
• Good understanding of jewellery proportions, stone layouts, settings, and craftsmanship.
• Knowledge of CAD jewellery designing will be an added advantage and preferred.

Qualifications

• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• Ability to interpret design briefs and translate ideas into detailed sketches.
• Freshers with relevant jewellery design education and a strong portfolio are welcome.
• Experienced candidates with a portfolio of previous jewellery designs are encouraged to apply.
