About the Role
Netafim is a global leader in smart irrigation solutions for a sustainable future. This role is for a Design Engineer based at the Global Design Center (GDC).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional design works, including preparing maps, bill of materials, components specifications, systems costing, drawings, and systems technical descriptions.
- Manage daily interface between designer, application technician, and drafting.
- Detailed planning of all components of the irrigation project, from the pump station/head control unit to the emitter.
- Comprehensive expertise in key irrigation system components: pumping solutions, filtration assemblies, valve mechanisms, fittings, and all ancillary accessories.
- Produce a complete Bill of Material (BOM) for quotations related to irrigation design.
- Understand data collection and prepare irrigation system designs in irrigation software.
- Coordinate with the project team (Designer, Implementation, and Draftsman) from detailed characterization to final design.

- Irrigation Design Software: IrriCAD / WCADI (Proficiency is Must)
- 2D AutoCAD

Qualifications
- Degree in B. Tech / M. Tech Agricultural Graduate in an engineering discipline specialization with Agriculture studies.
- Core design practical experience of at least 0-5 years in irrigation systems design or equivalent engineering practices.
- Knowledge of Irrigation system design with Hydraulics will be a must.
- Knowledge of the micro irrigation industry is preferred.
- Dexterity and management in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction and control.
- Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Team player.
- Capable of delivering high-quality work under tight schedules, strict deadlines, and demanding conditions.
- Initiative, creativity, and strong technical aptitude will be considered an advantage.
- Multi-tasking - simultaneously work with several jobs/tasks.
