Retail Sales Associate / Keyholder

About the Role

CubeSmart Self-Storage is seeking a Retail Sales Associate / Keyholder to manage and maintain stores within their district, focusing on customer service and property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service:

• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions.

• Deliver a standout customer experience through face-to-face interactions.

• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.

• Perform daily operational tasks including lock checks and showing units to customers.

• Rent self-storage units.

• Sell store merchandise.

• Manage the leasing process.

• Accept payments using a Point-of-Sale System (POS).

• Complete daily bank deposits.

• Make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.

• Property Maintenance:

• Clean units and store grounds.

• Open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).

• Maintain the facility, including mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, and cleaning out storage units.

• Ensure a clean and safe storage facility that meets company guidelines (e.g., clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, clean storage doors, neat office space).

• Point-of-Sale System (POS)

Qualifications

• A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Experience in delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• A self-driven mindset with a strong operational focus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb, or balance on a ladder.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Some locations may require Sunday hours.
