Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and manage all pediatric patients, with the knowledge of senior consultants.
• Keep abreast with the latest research and development techniques in the field of pediatrics.
• Conduct and supervise all pediatric tests/procedures.
• Generate reports on tests/procedures performed (Operation notes and discharge summary).
• Ensure proper attention to patients and their attendants.
• Ensure wards/O.T. rooms have necessary equipment/facilities for patient care as per availability.
• Supervise all nursing, para-medical, and non-medical staff of the department to maintain discipline and high standards of medical care.
• Provision infrastructure and maintenance support.
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources by self and subordinates.
• Have complete orientation of the hospital's QMS and EMS systems.
• Have complete awareness about the hospital's Disaster Management Programme (DMP).
• Comply with service quality processes, environmental, and occupational health policies of the respective area.
• Comply with patient safety policy.
• Coordinate with the Head of Department on all related matters.
• Coordinate and contribute with the team for the development of newer facilities.
• Be proactive in terms of patient care (planning and anticipation).
• Handle complaint redressals of patients.
• Participate in all regular CMEs.
• Select the type and nature of medical consumables and equipment to be procured.
• Be well-groomed, punctual, and adhere to company policies and practices.
