About the Role
The AI Voice Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing voice-based AI solutions that support products and services at FIRSTWORLD DATA TECH INC. This full-time, on-site role is based in Chennai and involves implementing speech recognition, text-to-speech, and natural language processing components, as well as integrating them into production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and fine-tuning voice models.
- Collaborating with product and engineering teams to define requirements.
- Performing data preparation and feature engineering for audio datasets.
- Conducting experiments to improve accuracy, latency, and user experience.
- Monitoring system performance.
- Troubleshooting issues.
- Documenting technical designs.
- Contributing to best practices and standards for voice AI development within the organization.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with deep learning libraries.
- Experience with speech processing toolkits.
- Experience with cloud AI services.
- Proficiency in software engineering practices such as version control, testing, debugging, and deploying models into production environments.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, with a focus on speech and voice technologies.
- Hands-on experience with tools and frameworks commonly used in voice AI.
- Ability to work with audio data, including preprocessing, feature extraction, training, evaluation, and optimization of voice models.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and present technical findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with real-time systems, conversational interfaces, or voice assistants is a strong advantage.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with advancements in AI, speech technologies, and relevant industry standards.
