About the Role
The Junior Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gorakhpur. The Junior Interior Designer will support senior designers in developing interior concepts, preparing mood boards, and assisting with material and finishes selection.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior designers in developing interior concepts.
- Prepare mood boards.
- Assist with material and finishes selection.
- Produce and update drawings.
- Support space planning.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Assist in site visits and measurements.
- Contribute to FF&E selections.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure design intent is accurately implemented.
- Participate in client presentations.
- Respond to design feedback.
- Help ensure projects are delivered on time and within quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture.
- Ability to assist in developing design concepts and layouts.
- Proficiency in Space Planning and Construction Drawings.
- Experience or training in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, including finishes, materials, and product sourcing.
- Strong visual, spatial, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an on-site team environment in Gorakhpur.
- Ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Prior internship or project experience is an advantage.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Working knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar).
- Basic proficiency in MS Office.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
