About the Role

V P Pande & Company (Advocates) is a Mumbai-based law firm offering legal services across a range of practice areas. The environment is geared toward learning, professional development, and exposure to real-world legal practice. Interns have the opportunity to observe and contribute to ongoing cases and client work under professional supervision. This is an internship role with a hybrid work arrangement, based in Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

• Support advocates with legal research, drafting, and documentation for ongoing matters.
• Research case law and statutes.
• Assist in preparing legal documents such as petitions, contracts, and opinions.
• Summarize judgments and legal issues.
• Help in organizing case files.
• Prepare briefs.
• May attend client meetings or court proceedings when required.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and the ability to understand and analyze Legal Issues.
• Skills in Legal Consulting, including assisting in client advisory work under supervision.
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents.
• Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a law degree (LL.B or equivalent).
• Good research skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with legal databases and online resources.
• Professional conduct, reliability, and the ability to manage time and tasks in a hybrid work environment.
• Interest in litigation and advisory work in Mumbai.
• Prior internship experience in a law office is an advantage but not mandatory.
