Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Hydraulic Engineer role based in Mumbai. The Hydraulic Engineer will design, analyze, and optimize hydraulic systems and water-related infrastructure, including pipelines, pumps, channels, and drainage networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hydraulic calculations.
- Prepare technical drawings and models.
- Conduct feasibility studies.
- Support project planning.
- Coordinate with civil and mechanical engineers.
- Review site data.
- Monitor construction and installation activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., CAD tools, hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, EPANET, or similar).
- Familiarity with local and international standards, codes, and regulations related to hydraulic and water infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Hydraulic Systems and Mechanical Engineering, including design, operation, and performance analysis.
- Skills in Water Engineering and Water Resource Management, with experience in planning and optimizing water supply and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of Hydrology, including rainfall-runoff analysis, flood modeling, and groundwater behavior.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary project teams.
