Junior Designer, BIM Structures

About the Role

As a BIM Structural Modeler at Jacobs, you will provide drafting support on multi-disciplinary projects, creating 2D drawings and 3D models. You will be responsible for the technical quality of your work, focusing on compliance with project objectives and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on detailed drawings to create 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Support, mentor, and train other members of the drafting team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for BIM documentation and drafting work.
• Ensure technical correctness, project standard compliance, and timely delivery of drawings and documents.
• Exercise self-discipline and work ethics.
• Respect and follow company policies and procedures.
• Liaise with Architecture, MEP, and other disciplines.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• REVIT (Archi and MEP) for model coordination.
• Navisworks for model checking.
• In-depth knowledge of building structural elements.
• BIM knowledge as per best-industry practice.
• Hands-on experience in 3D modeling and scheduling.
• Experience in multi-D coordination and documentation.
• Experience in BIM setup for a project, execution, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing minimum LOD 300 REVIT Documentation (3D and 2D).
• Experience in general arrangement drawings, composite steel drawings, structural steel drawings, reinforcement drawings, and reinforcement detailing.
• Experience in precast will be an advantage.
• Experience on international projects.
• Self-motivated, team player, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• BIM management experience as an additional skill will be preferred.
