About the Role
As a Civil Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and reviewing cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects. You will analyze drawings, specifications, and performance descriptions, create BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and calculate material, labor, and equipment costs. In daily operations, you will work closely with project management, procurement, and construction management, support price negotiations with suppliers, and transparently document all calculations. You will conduct market and cost research, update databases, and contribute to the timely and accurate creation of bids. This is a full-time position, on-site in the Pune Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and reviewing cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Analyzing drawings, specifications, and performance descriptions.
- Creating BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Calculating material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Working closely with project management, procurement, and construction management.
- Supporting price negotiations with suppliers.
- Transparently documenting all calculations.
- Conducting market and cost research.
- Updating databases.
- Contributing to the timely and accurate creation of bids.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in BOQ creation and project costing for accurate cost estimates and quantity surveys.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering (e.g., statics, material science, construction processes) to understand technical documents and translate them into robust cost approaches.
- Negotiation and communication skills for efficient collaboration with suppliers, executing companies, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and systematic research capabilities to compare market prices, track cost developments, and prepare data soundly.
- Experience with common estimation tools and MS Office tools.
