About the Role
Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a Computer Science and Engineering Co-op for Summer 2027. This role involves working under the guidance of engineers to influence the design and development of innovative forklifts, material handling equipment, and related systems, utilizing general purpose or embedded software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and/or modify computer programs using Java, Angular, C/C++, C#, Python, or similar computer languages.
- Test and review work by other developers.
- Work with business analysts to clarify requirements.
- Utilize Scrum as a member of the development team.
- For embedded positions:
- Develop software for Real-time Operating Systems or Android applications.
- Conceptualize ideas for software control of sensors, actuators, and systems.
- Conduct bench-level unit testing and on-vehicle verification and validation tests.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a four-year college degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in programming and analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated individual with an attention to detail.
- Ability to follow and write testing procedures to confirm product quality.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation.
