The Opportunity

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Backend Interior Designer to support design development, prepare drawings and presentations, coordinate design requirements, and translate concepts into practical design outputs. This role is ideal for an aspiring interior designer who enjoys working behind the scenes on design execution, spatial planning, technical documentation, and lighting-led interior concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop interior design layouts, working drawings, and technical documentation.
• Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, material selection, and design detailing.
• Create 2D drawings using AutoCAD and basic 3D views or presentations using SketchUp or similar software.
• Support lighting layouts, fixture selection, and integration of decorative lighting into interior concepts.
• Prepare design presentations, mood boards, material boards, and visual references.
• Coordinate with the sales, design, product, and technical teams to ensure accurate design execution.
• Assist in preparing design proposals and technical details for architects and interior designers.
• Maintain organised drawings, project files, revisions, and design documentation.
• Support the planning and presentation of lighting displays within the company's experience centre.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Basic knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop, or other design visualisation tools is preferred.
• Understanding of interior layouts, materials, finishes, furniture planning, and technical drawings.
• Good visualisation skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Strong coordination, communication, and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Fresh Interior Design graduates with good technical and visualisation skills.
• Candidates with 0-2 years of experience in interior design studios, architecture firms, or design consultancies.
• Candidates interested in architectural lighting, luxury interiors, and premium design environments.
• Candidates who can join immediately or at short notice.

Preferred:

• Candidates currently residing in Mumbai or nearby locations who can commute to Vile Parle East.
