About the Role
RKVT & Co. is seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible Audit Associates to join their team in Chennai. This is a full-time, on-site position offering practical exposure to auditing, taxation, accounting, and statutory compliance assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, and Tax Audits.
- Review financial statements, books of accounts, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
- Perform audit procedures, analytical reviews, reconciliations, and internal control testing.
- Assist in GST compliance, GST reconciliations, and return filings.
- Support Income Tax, TDS compliance, and related assignments.
- Prepare audit working papers, schedules, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, compliance gaps, and audit observations.
- Coordinate with clients for obtaining records, clarifications, and supporting information.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments in accordance with applicable statutory deadlines.
- Maintain professional confidentiality, accuracy, and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- CA Inter, final or equivalent qualifications.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and auditing procedures.
- Knowledge of Income Tax, GST, and TDS provisions will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Tally or other accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate professionally with clients.
- Willingness to learn, take ownership of assignments, and work within defined timelines.
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and teamwork.
