About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Textile Artist role based in Varanasi.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop original textile patterns and artworks for embroidery and digital printing collections.
• Create concept sketches.
• Select appropriate fabrics and materials.
• Translate artistic ideas into production-ready designs.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure patterns are technically feasible and aligned with brand standards.
• Refine samples based on feedback.
• Stay informed about current textile and fashion trends to contribute fresh, market-relevant ideas.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Textiles and Textile Design
• Art and creative design skills: concept development, color theory, visual composition.
• Textile craft techniques: Crochet and Knitting
• Collaboration with design and production teams.
• Attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to meet production timelines.
• Familiarity with design tools or software for pattern creation is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Textiles and Textile Design, with the ability to create designs suitable for embroidery and digital printing.
• Diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience in textile arts.
• Ability to work on-site in Varanasi.
