About the Role

• This is a remote, unpaid internship for 45 days.
• Designed to provide understanding of the role of a News Writer at Prayan Media Network.

Key Responsibilities

• Research current events.
• Gather information from credible sources.
• Write clear, concise news articles across topics including business, startups, markets, sports, entertainment, politics, national, and global affairs.
• Pitch story ideas.
• Draft and revise articles.
• Assist with press release preparation.
• Ensure accuracy and fairness in reporting.
• Collaborate with editors and team members.
• Adapt to editorial guidelines.
• Meet deadlines.
• Learn digital publishing workflows.

• Basic digital literacy.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong News Writing and Writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, clear, and engaging articles.
• Candidates should possess Journalism and Press Releases skills to support reporting, structured storytelling, and formal announcements.
• Candidates should possess solid Communication skills, including the ability to interview sources and collaborate effectively with editors and team members.
• Candidates should possess basic digital literacy and familiarity with online news platforms, content management systems, or social media tools.
• Relevant coursework or experience in journalism, mass communication, media studies, or related fields is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, ethical judgment, time management, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are preferred.
• Applicant must know how to type in Hindi.
