About the Role

The Site Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for overseeing day-to-day civil engineering activities at residential construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising site work.
• Coordinating with contractors and vendors.
• Ensuring adherence to design specifications.
• Maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Reviewing drawings.
• Planning and sequencing construction activities.
• Monitoring progress.
• Resolving technical issues that arise on site.
• Preparing site reports.
• Tracking material usage.
• Supporting inspections.
• Communicating regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications & Skills

• Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills to interpret drawings, prepare layouts, and ensure structural integrity.
• Experience working as part of Civil Engineers teams, collaborating with architects, contractors, and supervisors on site.
• Planning skills to schedule activities, allocate resources, and coordinate multiple tasks across project phases.
• Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related site infrastructure to ensure proper drainage and compliance with local regulations.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and local regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using basic engineering and construction software such as AutoCAD, and MS Office for documentation and coordination.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently at an active construction site.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with field staff, vendors, and clients.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

Experience Preference

• Prior experience in residential or commercial building projects in a site-based engineering role is preferred.
