About the Role
Atlassian is searching for a Research Intern to join our AI Research Systems (AIRS) team within the Research and Insights (R&I) organization. This role is located in the Seattle hub.
Responsibilities
- Report to a Research Manager.
- Contribute AI tools, pipelines, and systems for the R&I team.
- Conduct a research project with existing AI tooling.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Able to commit to a 12-week full-time (40hrs/week) program during Summer 2027.
- Currently enrolled full-time in a program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by August 2028.
- This position is not eligible for F1 and J1 students.
- This position is not available for any work sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Experience building tools or apps with AI using tools like Claude Code or Codex in a professional, classroom, or personal/hobby project context.
- Understanding of the workflow and steps of the research process (planning, recruiting, reporting, archiving).
- Background in qualitative (and some quantitative) UX research methods, including knowledge of when, why, and how to apply them.
- Proficiency in data management and data analysis.
- Engaging techniques for sharing research insights.
Compensation
- Base pay ranges for new hires in the United States:
- Zone A: $48 - $55
- Zone B: $44 - $49
- Zone C: $40 - $45
- This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
