Biomedical ML Specialist
OpenTrain AI
About the Role
Work on the cutting edge of AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the biomedical signal processing expertise you already have. The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real experts. The teams building them need biomedical signal processing professionals who can create realistic, difficult problems, judge how well an AI handles them, write the answer a specialist would give, and explain exactly where the AI falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models works. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
Key Responsibilities
- Create difficult tasks using real physiological signals and time-series data
- Design tasks involving preprocessing and filtering of biomedical signals
- Prepare reproducible reference answers using Python, MATLAB or another scientific computing environment
- Check your methods, make sure another person can replicate the work, and deliver it against the project specifications
Why this is worth your time
- Build real AI skills on top of your current job while earning the equivalent of $60–$120 an hour
- Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, gaining experience most biomedical signal processing professionals will not have for years
- Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is changing biomedical signal processing and related machine-learning work, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that shift
- Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB, or in another scientific computing language
- Fluent English
Qualifications
- Experience taking part in a PhysioNet/CinC Challenge or a comparable competition in biomedical signal processing or scientific machine learning
- Demonstrate your own substantial technical contribution publicly, for example through a team result, a paper, a repository, a technical report or meaningful code contribution
- Hands-on experience with clinical time-series data such as ECG and EEG, plus PPG, EMG, respiratory signals, polysomnography and related data
Pay and Details
- $60–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
- About 15 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
