Zoho Developer, Internal Business Systems

About the Role

S&J Group is a supply chain business seeking an experienced Zoho Developer to build, integrate, and improve internal business platforms. This in-house role focuses exclusively on S&J Group's systems, collaborating with teams to understand needs, identify improvements, and develop solutions for faster, more reliable, and easier-to-manage daily work. The role requires ownership, questioning of inefficient processes, and contribution of ideas alongside technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize Zoho CRM, including modules, fields, layouts, Blueprints, workflows, validation rules, and access permissions.
• Develop, test, and maintain Deluge scripts, custom functions, and business process automations.
• Build and maintain integrations across Zoho applications (CRM, Books, People, Payroll, Projects, Analytics).
• Connect Zoho with internal platforms and external services using REST APIs, OAuth, and webhooks.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions, explaining options and trade-offs.
• Improve data quality, application reliability, and information flow between departments and systems.
• Support data migration, field mapping, deduplication, and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot application issues, failed automations, and integration errors.
• Test changes before rollout and maintain clear technical documentation, configuration records, and user guidance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external development teams, and Zoho support.
• Assist users in adopting new features and improving their use of existing systems.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proven hands-on experience developing and customizing solutions within the Zoho ecosystem.
• Strong proficiency in Deluge scripting and Zoho CRM.
• Experience with workflows, Blueprints, custom functions, approval processes, and role-based access.
• Practical knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth authentication, and webhooks.
• Experience integrating Zoho applications and handling synchronization errors and duplicate records.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business processes and recommend solutions.
• Clear communication skills for working with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Disciplined approach to testing, documentation, data security, and ongoing maintenance.
• Skills: CRM, Zoho, REST APIs, Deluge.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Zoho Books, People, Payroll, Projects, Analytics, Creator, or Flow.
• Experience migrating from Bigin to Zoho CRM or implementing CRM–Books integrations.
• Familiarity with SQL, reporting, and dashboards.
• Working knowledge of PHP/Laravel or JavaScript.
• Exposure to logistics, supply chain, finance, or other operations-intensive businesses.
• Experience managing systems across multiple business entities.
