Architectural Designer / Architect
Superbuilt AI
About the Role
At Superbuilt, we're building AI that understands how architects actually work. We're looking for architects who want to go beyond conventional design practice and help shape the next generation of AI-powered architecture tools. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of architecture, AI evaluation, and product development. You'll translate real-world architectural workflows into training material and evaluation scenarios, assess AI-generated outputs for professional accuracy, identify gaps in existing workflows, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to build better solutions for architects. Whether you're a recent graduate with a strong portfolio or an experienced architect with hands-on project exposure, you'll have the opportunity to influence how our AI understands drawings, documentation, compliance, design coordination, and architectural decision-making. This is not a conventional architecture studio role. You'll help build the tools that architecture teams will use.
Key Responsibilities
- Map Architectural Workflows: Understand and document workflows across concept design, drawing production, documentation, compliance, consultant coordination, and client communication.
- Evaluate AI Outputs: Review AI-generated drawings, design suggestions, documentation, and compliance-related outputs for accuracy, completeness, usability, and professional reliability.
- Build Training & Evaluation Data: Create structured examples, test cases, checklists, reference material, and evaluation frameworks to improve AI performance on real architectural tasks.
- Drive Product Improvements: Identify workflow gaps, usability issues, recurring errors, and opportunities to reduce rework and improve architectural productivity.
- Collaborate with Product & Engineering: Translate architectural requirements into clear feedback, product specifications, edge cases, and actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to Product Strategy: Help identify high-value features, improve user journeys, and develop ideas for AI-powered architectural workflows.
- Document Findings: Maintain clear records of AI failures, evaluation results, workflow observations, and improvement opportunities.
Mandatory Requirements
- B.Arch degree or final-year B.Arch candidate, with a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, thesis work, or professional architecture practice.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, design documentation, and project workflows.
- Ability to critically assess design and documentation outputs and explain what is correct, incomplete, impractical, or misleading.
- Strong written communication, structured thinking, and attention to detail.
- Genuine curiosity about AI tools and the ability to test their capabilities and limitations.
- A portfolio demonstrating architectural thinking, design judgment, or practical project experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduates from IITs, NITs, Schools of Planning and Architecture (SPA), or other strong architecture programs.
- Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exposure to BIM, computational design, building-code compliance, sustainability, or multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Experience using AI-assisted design or productivity tools.
- Demonstrated ability to improve a workflow, review process, template, or project deliverable.
Compensation & Work Details
- Compensation: ₹12–19 LPA CTC, depending on experience, skills, and demonstrated capability.
- Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India.
- Work Mode: Remote.
- Probation: 6 months.
