Technical Delivery Manager

About the Role

A Technical Delivery Manager opportunity to lead and support the delivery of key technology initiatives underpinning the Financial Crime (FC) Transformation programme. This role operates at the intersection of business, technology, and programme delivery, driving requirements definition, collaborator alignment, execution governance, and change implementation. The individual will act as a trusted partner to business leaders, technology teams, architects, vendors, and programme leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic and regulatory initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Business and Technology Transformation
• Partner with business, operations, risk, and technology stakeholders to define strategic objectives, business requirements, and delivery outcomes.
• Analyze business processes, operating models, systems, and data flows to find opportunities for optimization and transformation.
• Lead requirements definition activities including workshops, process mapping, user story development, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Ensure business requirements are traceable through design, testing, and implementation.
• Drive Delivery Excellence
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives from discovery through implementation.
• Develop delivery plans, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment across multiple teams and workstreams.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, and delivery challenges.
• Monitor progress against achievements and ensure successful execution of programme commitments.
• Champion Agile delivery approaches, selecting the most appropriate methodology for each initiative.
• Build Strong Partnerships
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders.
• Facilitate alignment across teams with differing priorities and objectives.
• Provide clear communication and regular reporting to programme leadership and senior stakeholders.
• Influence decision-making through data-driven insights and thoughtful recommendations.

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Business Analysts and delivery professionals.

• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and product teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
• Support delivery of Financial Crime technology capabilities including onboarding, KYC, CDD, screening, monitoring, and reporting solutions.
• Ensure solutions align with governance, security, data, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote continuous improvement and adoption of standard methodologies across delivery teams.
• Enable Data-Driven Decisions
• Partner with data, reporting, and engineering teams to define information requirements and reporting solutions.
• Support delivery of management information, operational insights, and performance reporting.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across delivered solutions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience leading business analysis and technology delivery within Financial Services, Risk, Compliance, or Financial Crime domains.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale business and technology transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading and developing teams in a people management capacity.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across business, operations, and technology organisations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of Financial Crime processes including KYC, Customer Due Diligence, Sanctions Screening, and Transaction Monitoring.
• Excellent business analysis, process improvement, and requirements management capabilities.
• Strong project and delivery management experience, including planning, dependency management, and governance.
• Ability to simplify complex problems and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise technologies, data platforms, workflow solutions, and system integrations.

Preferred

• Experience delivering Financial Crime technology platforms.
• Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, Project Management, or Product Management.
• Experience working across global teams and multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven and experienced Technical Delivery Manager.
• Background in Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Financial Crime (FC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring, and Regulatory Transformation.
