Financial Analyst

About the Role

At Cracker Barrel's Store Support Center, this role supports ongoing performance monitoring, designs and implements tests for new business initiatives, and communicates analysis and findings to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain weekly and monthly tracking of key financial metrics.
• Deliver accurate, fast-turnaround ad hoc analyses or reports.
• Partner with Menu Strategy, Off-Premise, and Operations teams to design and implement structured tests for new business initiatives.
• Monitor performance throughout tests and deliver evaluations of overall effectiveness.
• Communicate analysis and findings clearly and proactively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support the forecasting of sales and volume trends.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with sharp attention to detail.
• Curious and creative, with sound judgment and a genuine interest in the business drivers behind results.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate business needs and act proactively.
• Professional, team-oriented demeanor with a willingness to support team success.

Preferred

• Programming background or data-cleaning knowledge.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Tableau.
• Working knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
• Familiarity with the restaurant and/or retail industry.
