What You’ll Do

• Build and ship cross-platform features in Flutter and Dart, using Riverpod for state management.
• Design Firestore data models and their security rules.
• Write and deploy Cloud Functions in Node.js on Google Cloud, including callable APIs, Firestore triggers, scheduled jobs, and third-party integrations (Stripe, social platform APIs, and AI services).
• Own performance, security, and reliability from the device to the cloud, including offline-first sync, App Check, crash triage in Crashlytics, and safe rollouts behind Remote Config flags.
• Ship through GitHub using pull requests, code review, GitHub Actions pipelines, and release builds to TestFlight and Google Play.
• Write tests, including unit and widget tests in Dart, Node.js tests for Cloud Functions, and emulator tests for security rules.
• Build LLM-powered features into the product, including agent tool calling, structured outputs, streaming responses, and retrieval-grounded answers, served through Gemini on Vertex AI.
• Make AI features reliable in production through prompt design, evaluation suites, prompt-injection defenses, and controls on cost and latency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building production mobile apps.
• Strong proficiency in Dart and solid experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Riverpod, Bloc, or Provider.
• Experience with Firebase, including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage, and Cloud Messaging.
• Comfort with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, IAM, Secret Manager) and with debugging issues that span client and server.
• Day-to-day fluency with Git and GitHub, including pull requests, code review, and CI.
• Strong written communication.

Nice to Have

• Native iOS (Swift, Xcode) or Android (Kotlin, Gradle) experience.
• Experience building offline-first apps with SQLite or Drift.
• Prior experience shipping LLM-powered features in production.
• Experience with Stripe, in-app purchases, or App Store and Google Play review and submission.
• Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with Next.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with youth and student privacy.
• Familiarity with NIL disclosure rules.
• An interest in college sports.
