Associate Backend Engineer [Java]

About the Role

Saatvik Agro is seeking an Associate Backend Engineer [Java] for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India. This role is suitable for fresh graduates and early-career professionals interested in Java backend engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve Java-based backend services, APIs, databases, enterprise platforms, internal applications, automation solutions, and digital systems.
• Collaborate with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, production, supply chain, finance, sales, and other business teams.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, collections, exception handling, interfaces, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction, multithreading, concurrency, and clean coding practices.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar Java backend frameworks is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, web services, authentication, authorization, API integration, and system integration.
• Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis, or similar relational and NoSQL databases is beneficial.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, joins, indexing, transactions, schemas, CRUD operations, queries, and data-access concepts is advantageous.
• Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, scalable backend services, or event-driven systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, code reviews, and collaborative software-development workflows.
• Exposure to JUnit, Mockito, TestNG, Postman, unit testing, integration testing, API testing, or automated testing is beneficial.
• Exposure to Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, scheduled jobs, background processing, or event-driven architecture is an advantage.
• Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, or similar cloud and DevOps technologies is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, environment configuration, logging, monitoring, and production-support concepts is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, role-based access control, secure coding, input validation, API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption concepts is beneficial.
• Exposure to application performance optimization, database tuning, connection pooling, caching strategies, scalability, reliability, observability, and troubleshooting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ORM technologies, repositories, persistence layers, entity relationships, transactions, and backend data-access patterns is beneficial.
• Exposure to frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Exposure to automation, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications is an additional advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, user stories, sprint planning, or issue tracking is advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Final-year students completing their degree and available for full-time employment.
• Candidates currently working as Associate Backend Engineer [Java], Associate [Java] Backend Engineer, Associate Backend Engineer Java, Associate Backend Engineer - Java, Associate Backend Engineer (Java), Associate Java Backend Engineer, Associate Java - Backend Engineer, Junior Java Backend Engineer, Java Backend Engineer, Backend Engineer [Java], Java Backend Developer, Spring Boot Developer, Associate Software Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, or Junior Software Engineer are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
• Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to understand business and technical requirements and contribute to practical, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and secure Java backend solutions.
• Willingness to work in an on-site environment.

• Candidates without previous full-time Java backend-engineering experience can also apply.
