About the Role
You'll work directly with the founder on real features that real users will touch. You'll own small features end to end, from the screen to the database.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and polish app screens in React Native (Expo) and TypeScript, following our design system.
- Write and improve Firebase Cloud Functions and Firestore security rules.
- Fix bugs, add tests, and keep money calculations accurate.
- Help ship features such as group budgets, recurring bills, and settle-up flows.
- Review your own work against the design spec before asking for a review.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Know JavaScript or TypeScript well, and have built at least one project with React or React Native.
- Understand basic backend ideas (APIs, databases, authentication).
- Have a GitHub with real projects, or a portfolio.
- Write clean code and ask questions when stuck.
- Can work independently and communicate clearly in a remote team.
- Tech stack: Expo, React Native, TypeScript, Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions), Jest.
Bonus (not required)
- Experience with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions).
- Interest in fintech, UPI, or consumer apps.
- Comfort with Git, pull requests, and basic testing (Jest).
