About the Role
Rackloom is seeking a full-time, remote Python Developer to build and maintain the core backend services for their GPU marketplace platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize APIs and services for listings, metering, pricing, and payouts.
- Translate business requirements into robust, scalable code.
- Integrate with payment providers and third-party services.
- Write clean, testable Python code.
- Maintain database schemas and queries.
- Monitor performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
- Improve developer tooling, deployment pipelines, and documentation.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Strong Back-End Web Development skills.
- Experience building RESTful APIs.
- Experience integrating external services.
- Solid Software Development experience using Python.
- Focus on writing maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
- Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Understanding of general programming concepts like data structures and algorithms.
- Practical Databases skills:
- Designing schemas.
- Writing efficient queries.
- Working with relational or NoSQL databases.
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, performance optimization, or high-availability backend architectures is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred, but relevant experience and skills are highly valued.
