About The Role
SynergisticIT is seeking an entry-level Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications. This opportunity is suited to candidates with foundational programming knowledge who are motivated to grow their technical capabilities through hands-on work. You will collaborate with experienced developers, learn established engineering practices, and contribute to tasks across the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and receptive to feedback, comfortable learning unfamiliar tools, asking thoughtful questions, and working through technical challenges methodically.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with developing, enhancing, and maintaining software applications.
- Write readable, maintainable code and follow established development standards.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Investigate defects, reproduce issues, and implement or validate fixes.
- Create and execute tests, document results, and support reliable releases.
- Work with team members to clarify requirements, estimate tasks, and communicate progress or blockers.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
- Use appropriate development tools and version control practices.
- Continue learning relevant frameworks, platforms, and engineering methods.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Foundational programming knowledge.
- Familiarity with one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL is helpful.
- Use of Git or another version control system is helpful.
- Understanding of testing, debugging, and application development workflows.
- Development tools and version control practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, object-oriented concepts, data structures, and basic software development practices.
