Entry-Level In Vivo Scientist

About the Role

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing North America is searching for an Entry-Level Scientist to support their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Set-up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.
• Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
• Prepare test solutions and diets in accordance with directions.
• Dose, evaluate responses, perform necropsies, and collect blood, urine, fecal and tissue specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.
• Assist in writing of reports.
• Follow all PSL safety requirements.
• Ability to safely wear a respirator required.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major).
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience working with rats or mice is highly desired.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with weekend rotation.

Pay range is $21/hr to $25/hr depending on experience.
