Our team works on industrial site development, roadways, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure projects throughout Mississippi.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a civil engineer who can thrive in both design and construction—someone who can develop practical solutions in AutoCAD Civil 3D and wants to see those plans take shape in the field. This position combines site and roadway design with hands-on project coordination and construction-site involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and coordinate civil site and roadway designs, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Visit project sites, observe construction, and work through practical field conditions.
- Work directly and communicate effectively with contractors, clients, surveyors, and project managers.
- Help resolve field conditions, constructability issues, and project challenges.
- Contribute to site grading, drainage, roadway, water, sewer, and other infrastructure projects.
- Review construction progress and coordinate project documentation.
- Manage multiple assignments while maintaining schedules and quality standards.
- Demonstrate leadership in a team environment and mentor less experienced personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in the State of Mississippi preferred; experienced Engineer Intern / Engineer-in-Training (EI/EIT) candidates encouraged to apply.
- Experience in civil site development, grading, roadway design, or related infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to prepare civil design drawings.
- Strong social and written communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be willing to learn, accept constructive feedback, and continuously improve professional skills.
- Willingness to spend meaningful time in the field and on active construction sites.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project locations as needed.
Who We're Looking For
The right candidate is willing to learn, share knowledge with teammates, take ownership of their work, and move comfortably between design responsibilities and active construction sites.
