About the Role

Augustus Corporation is seeking a full-time, on-site Freight Broker in Gurugram. This role is central to coordinating freight movements between shippers and carriers, negotiating rates, and securing capacity for various loads within an international logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight movements between shippers and carriers.
• Negotiate rates and secure capacity for a variety of loads.
• Manage load boards.
• Dispatch carriers.
• Track shipments.
• Resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers.
• Handle inquiries and provide proactive updates on shipment status.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize routes.
• Support billing and documentation processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage to source carriers, negotiate rates, and manage transportation agreements.
• Strong Customer Service and Account Management skills.
• Dispatching skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with logistics software, load boards, and basic MS Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and shipments simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation operations is preferred.
• A diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
