About the Role
Vyapaar Set Go is a digital khata platform built to simplify everyday shop management for India’s small business owners. The application helps local retailers track customer credit, record payments, manage stock and pricing, and reconcile daily cash from a single, easy-to-use interface. Vyapaar Set Go aims to make practical digital tools accessible to the businesses that power local communities across India.
The Customer Discovery & Outreach Intern will support conversations with small shop owners and other local businesses to understand their needs, challenges, and feedback related to daily shop management. This is a part-time, remote role, offering flexible hours and regular collaboration with the core team through online meetings and digital tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Reaching out to potential users via phone, messaging, and online channels.
- Conducting structured interviews.
- Documenting insights.
- Sharing clear summaries with the product team.
- Identifying user pain points.
- Testing assumptions about features.
- Supporting the creation of simple communication material for outreach campaigns.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse small business owners and local retailers.
- Customer satisfaction and customer support skills to understand needs, respond to questions, and capture feedback objectively.
- Analytical skills to interpret user conversations, identify patterns, and translate findings into practical insights.
- Clear, concise communication skills in spoken and written form; ability to explain concepts in simple language.
- Comfort with using phones, messaging apps, and basic digital tools for outreach and documentation.
- Interest in small business, fintech, or digital products serving local communities; prior exposure is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage part-time remote work with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English and at least one Indian regional language is beneficial for engaging with a wide user base.
