Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Mumbai. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing seasonal collections, including sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, and preparing technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with pattern makers and tailors for fittings.
• Refining samples based on feedback.
• Ensuring designs align with brand aesthetics and quality standards.
• Researching trends, colors, and textiles.
• Creating mood boards.
• Working closely with the production team to maintain timelines and cost parameters.
• Participating in collection reviews.
• Supporting lookbook and styling preparations.
• Liaising with merchandising or sales teams as needed to ensure designs meet market demands.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in design tools (such as Adobe Illustrator or similar software).
• Ability to maintain organized design documentation and tech packs.

Qualifications

• Strong Fashion Design and Fashion fundamentals, including the ability to translate concepts into clear sketches and cohesive collections.
• Skills in Embroidery and Textiles, with an understanding of fabric properties, surface ornamentation, and material sourcing.
• Skills related to Fitting, including working with patterns, samples, and garment construction to achieve accurate silhouettes and comfort.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institution are beneficial.
• Additional beneficial skills include trend research, color theory, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
