About the Role
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness across guest rooms, corridors, and public areas at Raj Park Hotels, a 4-star hotel in Chennai. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring collaboration with housekeeping and front office teams to ensure a high guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Making beds
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Dusting and vacuuming
- Replenishing amenities
- Handling laundry items according to hotel standards
- Responding to guest requests
- Reporting maintenance issues
- Ensuring safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Laundry skills: Handling, sorting, and caring for linens and guest clothing.
- Communication and customer service skills: To interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Organization skills: To manage cleaning schedules, supplies, and room priorities efficiently.
- Ability to receive and apply training: On housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and hotel standards.
- Attention to detail: Commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Physical ability: To stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic understanding: Of housekeeping equipment and cleaning products.
- Adherence: To health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
