About the Role
The Interior Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing interior spaces that are functional, aesthetically appealing, and aligned with client requirements. This role involves preparing design proposals, producing detailed drawings, selecting materials, and coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Concept Development
- Develop creative design concepts, space plans, and mood boards based on client briefs.
- Prepare 2D layouts, 3D renders, and presentations.
- Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories to match the design vision.
- Technical Drawings & Documentation
- Create detailed drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, and MEP coordination drawings.
- Prepare BOQs, specifications, and design documentation for execution.
- Client Interaction
- Conduct site visits with clients to understand project needs.
- Present design concepts, revise designs based on feedback, and maintain clear communication throughout the project.
- Project Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure design intent is executed accurately.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work progress and quality standards.
- Assist in resolving design-related issues during execution.
- Material & Vendor Management
- Source and finalize materials, furniture, and décor items.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and stay updated on new products and trends.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure timely approvals.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and MS Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Strong creativity, visualization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, and modern design trends.
