About the Role

P P T & CO is a professional firm offering services in accounting, taxation, audit, and financial advisory. This is a full-time, on-site CA & CMA Articleship role based in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in statutory and internal audits, including reviewing financial records, verifying documents, and preparing working papers.
• Supporting accounting and bookkeeping activities, preparation of financial statements, and reconciliation of ledgers.
• Working on direct and indirect tax matters, preparing returns, supporting assessments, and maintaining compliance-related documentation.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports.
• Drafting communications.
• Coordinating with clients.
• Participating in training or knowledge sessions.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to work with accounting software.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be registered or eligible for CA or CMA Articleship.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and ledger management.
• Interest in audit and assurance work, including documentation, sampling, and compliance checks.
• Basic knowledge of taxation concepts (direct and indirect) and willingness to learn regulatory frameworks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
