What We're Looking For
- Practical, hands-on AWS experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of AWS networking: VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and network controls.
- Experience configuring IAM roles, policies, and secure access.
- Understanding of cloud hosting, storage, and infrastructure deployment.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery implementation, including restoration testing.
- Confidence with Git, GitHub, and repository management.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues and deliver working solutions.
Good to have:
- Experience with EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, AWS Backup, and related services.
- Linux administration, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
- Python scripting and infrastructure automation.
- PostgreSQL and database deployment.
- CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimisation.
- Cloud security monitoring and cost optimisation.
- Experience deploying real applications on AWS.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
What Makes This Internship Different?
You'll work directly with the founder to build the technical foundation of a real cybersecurity platform. Your responsibility is to turn defined plans into a working cloud platform. You'll have the opportunity to independently drive engineering tasks, configure cloud environments, automate deployments, resolve real infrastructure problems, and implement reliable backup and recovery mechanisms. You'll own technical execution while working within established architecture, security, testing, and production approval processes.
What Success Looks Like
- AWS infrastructure deployed and configured according to the approved architecture.
- Infrastructure managed through maintainable Terraform configurations.
- Secure networking, storage, IAM, and hosting environments.
- Backup and recovery mechanisms implemented and successfully tested.
- Well-organised GitHub repositories and reliable deployment workflows.
- The GRC platform deployed and its infrastructure integrations validated.
- Clear documentation and demonstrable engineering deliverables.
Who Should Apply?
Recent graduates, and self-taught engineers with strong practical cloud engineering skills. We are looking for individuals who have independently deployed AWS infrastructure, used Terraform to provision resources, configured secure networking, or implemented backup and recovery.
